How about total skin rejuvenation in the same amount of time as your standard coffee break? That’s what the MicroLaser Peel at LJCMS can offer you!

What is a MicroLaser Peel?

This treatment uses a short-pulsed Erbium laser to quickly and gently remove the outermost layers of the skin, helping to reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, sun damage, and texture irregularities with consistently beautiful results.

Am I a good candidate for a MicroLaser Peel?

The MicroLaser Peel precisely and effectively treats surface-level skin concerns, including texture, fine wrinkles, scars, keratoses, and pigmentation lesions. It’s an excellent option if you’re seeking overall improvements in skin appearance and texture.

As a shorter-pulse laser, patients with darker skin or certain conditions may not be well-suited (if you fall into these categories, we have so many great options at LJCMS that we are sure to have a safe treatment to address your concerns).

What can you expect from a MicroLaser Peel?

The MicroLaser Peel takes only 5-10 minutes! Most patients find the treatment quite comfortable with a topical anesthetic cream, applied 45-60 minutes before treatment to help numb the skin. We also offer PRO-NOX™ self-administered nitrous oxide as an add-on if you would like to have an additional, fast-acting pain relief option.

You may experience up to 1 week of redness and slight swelling after treatment. After a few days, damaged skin may begin to peel off, after which you can expect smoother, healthier, younger-looking skin. Following your post-treatment skin care regimen as recommended will speed healing time and increase your comfort during recovery.

When will I see results?

On average, healing takes 3-7 days. Residual redness may occur for up to 2 weeks but can be covered by makeup (we can point you towards products that are safe post-procedure). Your age, skin texture, any medications you take, and the depth of the peel all can affect healing time.

How often will I need a MicroLaser Peel?

We recommend returning every 3-4 weeks for a follow-up until you achieve your desired results. After your initial series, occasional maintenance treatments can help you retain results. You can also get more dramatic results by combining a MicroLaser Peel with another treatment, such as ProFractional.

What are the risks of MicroLaser Peel?

Temporary skin discoloration is the main risk with the MicroLaser Peel, although this occurs very rarely. Another known risk is a flare of herpes simplex around the mouth for patients who carry the virus. Patients with a history of herpes will be prescribed an antiviral before treatment.
